So, you’ve heard of music bingo, maybe seen a pic or two, but you’ve got no clue how to make one… until today. 😏 If you’re wondering how does music bingo work or specifically how to make music bingo cards, you’re in the right place!
In regular bingo, you’ve got a card with numbers and some gadget that spits out little balls with numbers. When your number’s called, you mark it off. The first person to complete a horizontal line gets a smaller prize, and the first to fill the whole card snags the GRAND PRIZE.
So, How Does Music Bingo Work Exactly?
Okay, so how does music bingo work? It’s pretty much like the classic game, but with a killer soundtrack. A Music Bingo game, like the ones you can whip up with Bingofy, swaps out those numbers for songs. Every time a song plays, if it’s on your card, you mark it off. Simple as that!
It’s a fun excuse at a party to get people interacting more with the vibe, the music, and each other. Honestly, it creates a hilarious, competitive yet chill moment, and it lets the DJ play some tracks they normally wouldn’t. It’s a fantastic way to experience music bingo.
Ready to Make Your Own Music Bingo Cards? Here’s How!
Alright, let’s get down to it: how to make music bingo cards. It’s super easy! 🙌🏼 To make music bingo cards, especially if you’re planning a Spotify music bingo night, just use Bingofy. 😇 We’re the simplest and quickest way to get your Spotify bingo game going. We were also wondering how to make a music bingo game that was actually easy, and that’s why we created Bingofy!
- First up, make a Spotify playlist of about… 30-35 songs (for a music bingo game that’s almost an hour long).
- Head over to Bingofy at /games. Sign up if you haven’t yet 👀
- Pick a cool title for your music bingo game.
- Pop in your Spotify playlist link.
- And boom! Generate those music bingo cards.
Then you just gotta print ‘em out. They’re A5 size, so I recommend 2 to 4 per sheet (4 is a little tiny, but it can work). And just like that, you can create a Spotify music bingo game without any sweat.

Do you play the whole song in music bingo?
This really depends on your music bingo style. If you play the whole song, the game will be SUUUPER LONG 😰. What we usually do is switch it up after the most recognizable part, or if it’s an absolute BANGER, let it play a bit longer.
In the end, the DJ running the music bingo has to be clued in on how the crowd is feeling it.
Sometimes you can do a quick round of 2-3 fast songs to wake everyone up during your music bingo game.
How long does a Bingofy musical bingo game last?
Well, that depends on the number of songs on your playlist and the squares on your music bingo cards. The more squares, the harder (and longer) the music bingo game. We usually go with 35 songs on a 3x3 grid for our Spotify bingo sessions, and our games last about an hour, ‘cause we like to play the songs long enough for people to enjoy them.
And that’s it! You’re all set to host an awesome music bingo night. If you make a Bingofy game, don’t forget to tag us on Instagram @bingofy_co 🎉
